A street sign telling people that cats might cross and it says Istanbul with a cat image

But why is it called Wetcat?

A cat in Turkey getting fed by a person

We Turks have a special place in our hearts for cats. They've been around here for centuries, keeping the mice away from our homes and markets. In Istanbul and beyond, they wander around everywhere like they own the place, and we’re just fine with that.

Everyone looks after the cats, giving them food, shelter, and whatever they need, They’ve become a charming part of our identity. They're like unofficial mascots—independent, elegant, and a bit mysterious. Cats are part of what makes Istanbul so special.

Besides the special place they occupy in our hearts, cats model the perfect CAT-TITUDE towards life. They know how to chill—lounging in the sun and enjoying tasty treats. They’re playful too, always chasing toys or hunting imaginary prey.

At Wetcat, we embrace these same vibes. We’re all about chilling and playing. Our towels are the perfect companion for your moments of relaxation and fun.

Kick back, relax, and seize the MEOW-MENT!

Doing Our Bit

While our love for cats runs deep, we haven’t forgotten our dog friends!

We’re proud to partner with two incredible non-profit organizations based in Los Angeles, both dedicated to saving animal lives and helping them find loving forever homes.

5% of all proceeds directly support these causes, allowing us to make a difference together, one towel at a time.

Little Lion Foundation

Little Lion Foundation is on a mission to stop the needless killing of underaged kittens at their local shelter and to educate their community on how they can help save an innocent life. In 2019, they launched a kitten nursery dedicated to saving kittens whose lives would have otherwise ended in a shelter!

The Little Lion Foundation is committed to providing quality care to every animal we help. Since 2016, they have proudly served over 4,000 cats and kittens in Southern California.

Ozzie and Friends Dog Rescue

Ozzie and Friends Rescue (OAFR) was founded in 2016 by Nancy Jimeno out of love and passion for saving and rescuing dogs. Her passion stemmed from the tragic loss of her dog, Don Juan, due to prostate cancer.

Yearly, OAFR places an average of 300-400 dogs from all backgrounds with loving families. They have rescued dogs from Mexico and California and do not shy away from dogs that are feral, at risk, in danger of dying, neglect, and owner surrenders ranging from newborns to seniors. To date, OAFR continues to provide service and support to anyone seeking to become a parent to a dog in need of their forever home.
