We're a Turkish brother and sister, born and raised in Türkiye, where these towels are just part of life. We grew up with them at the beach, the hammam, everywhere. We started Wetcat and still make everything in small batches back home.
People sometimes ask if we copied the big American brand. Nobody invented Turkish towels — they've been part of life in Türkiye for centuries, and the version most brands sell isn't even the authentic one. We grew up with the real thing. We started Wetcat to share our culture with the world.
