But why is it called Wetcat?

Wet, because we're about drying. Cat, because we're soft.

But there's more to it.A cat that got wet? That cat didn't stay in the comfort zone, and we respect that. Cats don't play it safe. They're curious, they explore, and they also know when to stop and just lie in the sun for six hours. Adventure and doing absolutely nothing. That's Wetcat.

If you've ever been to Istanbul, you've seen them. Cats stretched out in cafe doorways, napping on windowsills, walking through markets like they own the place. They kind of do.It goes back centuries. Cats kept mice out of homes and markets, so people looked after them. Fed them, built little shelters, treated them like neighbors. It's just what you do there. We grew up in that, and it stuck.

Why we give back

If you've ever seen a sick animal, you know the feeling. We were lucky enough to get our cat the help she needed. Not every animal gets that chance, and sometimes it comes down to money.

DOING OUR BIT

While our love for cats runs deep, we haven’t forgotten our dog friends!

We’re proud to partner with two incredible non-profit organizations based in Los Angeles, both dedicated to saving animal lives and helping them find loving forever homes.

5% of every Wetcat purchase goes to two LA-based rescues: Little Lion Foundation, a kitten nursery that's helped over 4,000 cats in Southern California, and Ozzie and Friends, which places 300-400 rescue dogs with families every year. It's not everything, but we're working on more.
